Global Social Justice Project

The Global Social Justice Project seeks to build global awareness and a sense of global citizenship at Cape Breton University and in our local community. Our educational programming focuses on questions of rights and protection (land, animals and people); decolonization; peacebuilding; culture; environment and climate change.

We are particularly interested in exploring the links between local and global issues as they intersect around questions of poverty, inequality, housing, food, and healthcare. We provide opportunities for students and other collaborators to engage with local and global actors in projects, research, and outreach efforts.
